Tether to Phase Out USDT Support on Five Blockchains by September 2025

Tether, the issuer of the worlds largest stablecoin USDT, announced plans to discontinue support for five underused blockchains: Omni Layer, Bitcoin Cashs Simple Ledger Protocol (SLP), Kusama, EOS, and Algorand. Starting September 1, 2025, all token minting and redemptions on these networks will cease, and remaining tokens will be frozen on the same day.
