Ethereum hits highest daily transaction count of the year after upgrades

Data from Etherscan shows the Ethereum network processed its highest daily number of transactions this year yesterday, December 22. The network processed about 1,913,481 transactions on its Layer 1 in a single day, and the average fee to resolve each was around $0.16 per transaction.
