Canto to restart network after ‘consensus issue' causes outage

Cosmos-based Layer-1 blockchain Canto experienced an outage following its “Callisto” upgrade on Saturday which took the mainnet down at about 18:43 UTC, according to block explorers. The blockchain has been unable to process new transactions since the outage. On Sunday afternoon, Canto's X account acknowledged the outage, blaming the downtime on “an issue with consensus.
